The emergence and outbreak of Pseudorabies virus genotype II variant have brought huge economic losses to China's ± pig breeding industry. So is the new st™φrain more virulent? Are there qualityσ  problems with existing vaccines? How effec♦ε±tive is the protection against new strains?

Tian Zhijun, a researcher, proposed th♣€ "at the LD50 test of mice after virus isolatio>λδ‍n found that the new PRV strain (HeN1) h×↓↑ad a high fatality rate at a low age (within 2©≠& months of age), indicating that the virulence φ© of the variant strain was enhanced.
